When and where LBSCE was established?
L.B.S College of Engineering, Kasaragod was established in 1993
under the auspicious of L.B.S Centre for Science and Technology,
Trivandrum.
Is it a Government college or a private college?
LBSCE is a self-financing engineering college under L.B.S Centre for
Science and Technology, Trivandrum. L.B.S Centre is a Government of
Kerala Undertaking. The chairman of the Governing body is Hon’ble
Chief Minister of Kerala and Vice-Chairman is Hon’ble Minister for
Education, Govt. of Kerala.
What programmes does LBSCE offers? No: of seats?
The College offers five B.Tech programmes and one post graduate
programme in Computer Applications (MCA). The intake for B.Tech
course is 60 per branch.

As per Government of Kerala norms.
Reservation policy?
The College follows the reservation policy of Govt. of Kerala for
admissions.
To which university LBSCE is affiliated?
LBSCE is permanently affiliated to Kannur University.
Who conducts the examination? Who will award degree?
In spite of internal evaluation by the College, Kannur University
conducts examinations in every semester. The University awards
degrees to the candidates.
Duration of the courses?
The duration of the B.Tech programme is 4 years (8 semesters).
Normally the first year classes commences in the first week of
September. The duration of MCA programme is 3 years (6 semesters).
How do I get to the college? How far is it from the railway station?
The Campus is located at Muliyar, about 12Km from Kasaragod railway
station, Kerala and 75Km from Mangalore airport, Karnataka. The
close proximity of the campus to NH-17 and SH-31 makes it well
connected to any part of the country. Frequent buses are available
from Kasaragod new bus stand. More over College is operating buses
to Kasaragod and Kanghangad.
