The Entrepreneurship Development Club (EDC) provides entrepreneurship guidance to the students in association with Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Kerala. The aim of the Club is to inculcate “Entrepreneurial Culture” amongst youth and equip them with the skills, techniques and confidence to act as torch-bearers of “Enterprise” for new generation.

Mission

To create wealth and employment commensurate with unlimited natural and immense human resource potential of Kerala by developing entrepreneurship in the youth.

Events

• ED Club was started in 2003.

• Organized Workshop on “Entrepreneurship Development” during Oct. 10-12, 2003. An industrial visit to Mangalore Industrial Estate is also arranged as part of the Workshop.

• Organized one day Seminar on “Achievement Motivation” by Internal Faculty.

• Coordinator and a few member of the Club attended “Convention of Entrepreneurship Development Club Members” on 16-02-2004 at CoBank Towers, Trivandrum.

• Organized one-day workshop on “Entrepreneurship Development” in association with KIED on 7-04-2005. Prof. Sabu M. Thampi coordinated the programme.

• Prof. Sabu M. Thampi, Coordinator has attended “International Workshop on Entrepreneurship Development in the Renewable Energy Sub-sector in Asia” during April 19-20, 2005 under TEQIP.

• Sri. Shiju P.P., Lecturer, ECED and a few members of the Club Attended State Level Convention of ED Club members on 26-11-2005 at KIED, Kalamassery.

• Organized one-day workshop on Entrepreneurship Development on 8-11-2006. Prof. Dinesh K.K coordinated the event.

• Mr. Vinod O.M, Coordinator, ED Club has attended Technopreneur-2008, a pre-conference workshop on 30-01-2008 at Technopark, Trivandrum.

• Arranged a visit to Industrial Estate, Vidyanagar, Kasaragod on 07-02-2008.

• Three students attended a workshop on “ Promoting Technology Incubation and Building Enterprises” jointly organized by NITC, STED and Technopark, Trivandrum at Calicut on 10-03-2008.

•Organised One-day Lecture on “Entrepreneurship Development” by by Sri.NJ Thankachan ,district co-ordinator STED Project,Kasaragod  on 16-03-2008. Total number of  participants -52.
