"If you
have water,
you have tomorrow"

The Kasaragod district has an average annual rainfall of 3500
mm. Two check dams are constructed using rubble masonry with
concrete lining across a small stream flowing through the Campus to
effectively utilize rain water. It is one of the contemporary
practices of rain harvesting. Also it improves soil moisture of the
adjoining areas and allows percolation to recharge the aquifers.
