
APPLICATION FORM:
Applications for the Entrance Examination and for admission to the
professional courses (Engeneering/Medical/Agricultural courses) are
invited by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of
Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, through a common Notification issued by
them.

(iii) Calendar for admission against management/vacant seats:
This being a Government Institution, only candidates on the basis of
merit/rank accessed in the Engineering Entrance Examination
conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government
of Kerala, alone have been selected for admission.
L.B.S College of Engineering follows a rigorous process for
admitting students to various programmes. The admission for both the
merit quota and management quota is purely based on the rank secured
in the Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner for
Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala. The difference between the
merit quota and management quota is in the amount of fees that have
to be paid by the candidates. 15% of the seats are reserved for NRIs;
the admission is based on the merit in the qualifying examination.
Who can join to the course?
Candidates included in the entrance rank list published by CEE,
Kerala and admission to the Engineering course should otherwise
satisfy the rules regarding the minimum academic requirements in the
qualifying examination enumerated as follows:
a) Higher Secondary Examination/equivalent: Pass with 50% marks in
Mathematics and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics put
together.
b) 3-year Diploma engineering/equivalent: Pass with 50% in marks in
the final Diploma examination.
c) Relaxation in Marks: Candidates belonging to Socially &
Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) with a total annual family
income up to Rs.2.5 lakhs will get a relaxation of 50% marks with a
total annual family income up to Rs.2.5 lakhs will get a relaxation
of 5% marks i.e. 45% marks in mathematics and 45% marks in Physics,
Chemistry & Mathematics put together in the qualify examination. The
Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes candidates need only a pass in
the qualifying examination.
B.Tech Degree Course-Lateral Entry Scheme
Candidates who have a diploma in Engineering awarded by the State
Board of Technical Examinations or an Examination recognized
equivalent thereto, by the State Board of Technical Education after
undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years securing a
minimum of 60% marks in the diploma Examination are eligible for
admission.
a) Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward
classes with a total annual family income not exceeding Rs 2.5 Lakhs
will have relaxation of 5%marks in the qualifying examination.
b) The scheduled Castes and Schedule Tribes candidates need only a
pass in the qualifying examination.
c) Upper age limit -28 years
The candidates should appear for the Lateral Entry Test conducted
for the diploma holders and they should be included in the rank
list.

Scholarships Offered
1. National Scholarship Scheme awarded on the basis of the marks in
the School Leaving/Plus Two/Degree Examinations formulated by the
government of India.
2. Merit Scholarship for the children of primary and secondary
school teachers awarded based on the matriculation or equivalent
examination and the higher secondary /plus two examination
3. District Merit Scholarships based on the SSLC marks,University
Merit Scholarships based on the HSC marks & THSLC scholarships for
the rank holders of THSLC
4. Government of India Post Metric Scholarship based on the economic
criteria of students.
5. Government of Kerala National Loan Scholarship Schemes awarded
based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
